CLEARWATER CASINO AND RESORT

 DIGITAL UPGRADE WITH AMERICAN DYNAMICS

 VIRTUAL MATRIX

In July of 2006, Reliable Security was asked to design a digital solution for the Clearwater Casino. The existing Clearwater analog system had been installed three years earlier. The owner, knowing the advent and the increasing popularity of megapixel cameras and knowing they had no way to employ new megapixel cameras in the current analog system, requested that their new system have a migration path for megapixel cameras with digital recording and be state of the art! Reliable studied the situation and decided that removing the analog switch and instead utilizing the new American Dynamics virtual matrix was the best design.

The surveillance room and its adjoining equipment room were also dangerously close to being overextended in terms of space for expansion and had limited power and electrical infrastructure. The virtual matrix solved all of these issues. The system was completed, turned over and approved by the State in less than 90 days.

Attached are some pictures showing the system during its installation phase. It is

important to note that all of the cameras, which are currently analog, terminate their signal

into the DVR’s. From there, the recording and the operator interface is manipulated digitally.

The operators use a powerful workstation that has the ability to have 4 video cards in it. This gives each operator 4 working monitors.

Knowing though that most of the surveillance room is observation, it was also decided to manipulate

the analog output of the American Dynamics Intellex and use it through a small matrix switch.

Controlled by the AD1100 keyboard, the operators have the ability the view the display of any DVRs’

cameras on the 32” plasmas. The 41” plasmas on the monitor wall are the 4th output from both of the

operators’ workstations.

The system works exactly like an analog switch but has the added feature of having a Microsoft security desktop with the Intellex Policy Manager for control of all view stations. This gives the surveillance room far more control over their operators than previously possible with an analog surveillance system.

Clearwater couldn’t be more pleased with the results of their system, such as the flexibility that it will

give them along with the fact that they should get a 7 to 10 year useful life from the system. For information,

(See his letter of recommendation) Reliable Security is proud to be the vendor of choice for Clearwater

and maintain their long going relationship with the property and the tribe. This is the very first fully functional

virtual matrix system in the U.S. that has been signed off for gaming purposes. I would look forward to further

inquiries on this new state of the art system.
