Once the plans were finalized, Reliable Security Services immediately took GSV’s design and began constructing the system at their Everett, WA shop and warehouse. The surveillance room was laid out to scale in their facility and the racks were assembled and the wiring process began. A jig was made to duplicate the ceiling height and the height at which the wire tray entering the surveillance room would be installed.

The entire switch assembly to include all VCR’s were completely and 100% wired in. Dummy video signals were put into the in-rack patch panel so that live one-volt peak to peak video would be pumped through the entire system. You can see that at Reliable Security we take a great deal of pride in a clean wiring installation.

All of our inter rack wiring is color coded in mini coax. Also, you will see from some of the detail shots that we use Lowell wire management systems so that we can maintain not only a clean and functional wiring system but an installation that will be easy to maintain for years down road.

What we do not do at Reliable Security Services is to put five million wire ties on to your system, so that any time you need to move any component or do any sort of work in the rack wiring that you have to spend the first hour of your time cutting out hundreds of wire ties. The system can always, with proper maintenance, look as good five years down the road as the day it was installed.

The system, within four weeks, was completely assembled with all labeling, connectors, etc. all checked. All components were tested and the entire system was left to run for approximately one week. During this time all programming was entered, checked and verified. The system was then signed off by the owner.
