Reliable Security was contracted in the Spring of 2001 to design and install a surveillance system by London Clubs Ltd and their consultant Gary Vicchairelli of GSV Consultants. In the true spirit of teamwork, both Reliable and GSV Consultants came up with a clean design to handle the special surveillance requirements of a premier property in the Caribbean.

This property includes not only a surveillance system that meets the Bahamian Gaming regulations but also covers not only the surveillance but the security to include perimeter alarms, panic alarms and card access.

This system is unique because of its clean design, which was obtained through careful consideration of the design perimeters by both Reliable Security and GSV Consultants.

The entire project was modeled after The Aladdin casino surveillance room, which was designed by GSV Consultants.  Design is based around the Ultrak Maxpro switch and Pointguard Card Access system. Given the budget constraints of the project and the fact that the surveillance room would be turned over late in the project, Reliable offered their solution, which they have been working on for the past several years and that is to actually build and pre-harness the entire surveillance system in their shop in Everett, WA and ship the product complete via container.

This allows all of the floor wiring to be installed and for the room finishes in the surveillance room to be completed in a time frame, which is more advantageous to the General Contractor.  As you well know, it is always a problem in gaming when the surveillance room needs to be finished months ahead of the other rooms so that the surveillance contractor can begin surveillance work.

Essentially, this room was completely pre-figured and constructed in Everett and run through Beta-test with all documentation to include the switching of the VCR’s, the control of the audio recording for each of the gaming tables as well as pan tilt zoom control and furthermore, all of the VCR’s were tested in the shop. This allowed for any and all failures, which there were only a couple of VCR’s out of the box to be checked and repaired so there was a high degree of confidence that there would be no problems on site once the equipment arrived. 

This whole entire surveillance room was set up in approximately five days. This allowed now for the installation of the cameras to be wired into a working surveillance room saving both time and money for the Contractor so that these savings could be passed on to the owner. The end result, as you view the pictures and related text, the story of Our Lucaya is a clean installation, highly efficient and working surveillance system. 

It is important to note that in the Bahamas you are allowed to record audio conversations with only one party consent. Furthermore, this system has complete VCR control and guarantees 100% recording of all VCR’s due to Ultrak's Maxpro switches patented VCR control and management system. The PTZ's are all high-resolution KD6 domes, and the fixed cameras are all high-resolution KD5 cameras. The access control system is Pointguard and is combined with Radionics as a data gathering system.
