Tulalip Project
Introduction
Getting Started

At Reliable Security, we take great pride in our matrix switch wiring. Over the last 22 years we have developed wiring methods that not only are efficient in terms of downstream maintenance, but also are very cost effective.

We realized that one of the biggest issues in the completion of a casino job is the fact that the surveillance room needs to be completed first. Rarely is this ever given any thought by the construction team. The fact is that a casino is not a casino until the authorities having jurisdiction over the gaming license approve it and say it is a casino.

Several years ago, it was decided that we would assemble all of our switches in our corporate headquarters, therefore balancing the needs between the gaming licensing requirements and the need to keep the construction on track. What you see here is the initial fitting of the racks together.

During this process we will assemble the entire switch and route video signals through the matrix switcher and all of the peripheral components such as multiplexers, time/date generators, VCR’s, etc.

Since we are working in an environment that is conducive to a high level of quality control, we are able to not only cut down our installation time, thereby saving you money, but the switch also shows up on sight with all programming completed and is completely ready to run. This also deletes any of the scheduling impacts with the construction team trying to get the surveillance room completed. Furthermore, it allows you, the customer, to oversee the switch installation from start to finish.

When the switch wiring for the Tulalip Casino is completed in the next couple of weeks, we will then program it and bring in the Washington State Gaming Commission for an on-site demonstration and test. The switch will be totally approved before it goes on-site. There will be no issues trying to get the surveillance room ready ahead of time and the usual scheduling conflicts will be avoided.

Over the years, Reliable Security has discovered that this type of switch assembly not only benefits the customer in terms of decreased costs, but less hassles with the scheduling of the casino construction and better quality control on their final product.

Over the next couple of weeks we will update this installation process and go into more detail within this website as to what the actual components do, how they function and why we have discovered over the years that this is the most cost-effective and yields the best end results for the customer.
