The
system was completely assembled and tested in our
shop, even though it is less than 10 miles from the
casino and point of installation. Once we were
satisfied with the system, the owner came in.
He approved and photographed the racking, wiring
assembly and harnesses. The system was then
broken down, the harnesses were carefully marked and
numbered and documented to CAD drawings, the system
was packed into a trailer and moved over the course
of two days to the owner’s casino. |
 |
 |
 |
The system was then
reinstalled, as you can see from the pictures. The
cameras had already been laid down onto the power
supplies and hence the room was now ready to be
trimmed out with only the connection from the field
devices into the in-rack patch panels and with the
harnesses reattached the room was now essentially
wired. Over the next week or so final programming as
well as installation of VCR’s etc. will take place.

By
utilizing this type of installation, Reliable
Security is able to cut time off of their project
and time means money. Not only does it save the
owner and the General Contractor money and
headaches, due to the fact that the room does not
have to be finished ahead of schedule, but instead
can be finished out in the normal schedule of
events. |
 |
Reliable Security does
not need to charge a premium overtime charge in
order to wire the front end room. We can simply wire
the system in advance and we are not pushed to
complete the wiring in the room at the end of the
project. This is a tried and true method in terms of
cutting costs and speeding the project up. It
also yields a superior result for quality, allows
the owner to comment during the head end wiring, and
makes an excellent forum for training.

This is one time
where the old adage doesn’t work that if it seems
too good to be true, something must be wrong. It is
too good to be true and it is the only way Reliable
Security installs their matrix switchers. |
