Reliable
Security Services, in designing the surveillance and security
systems for the casino, looked at all the principal
methods of video and signal transmission, as well as
cable management. The following cabling was
considered: Coaxial cable throughout the casino, as
well as a total CAT5 twisted pair solution. We also
looked at remote data processing rooms with fiber
optic inter-connects. After running all of the
numbers it became apparent that coaxial cable with
wire trays would be the ideal solution, not only
from a cost standpoint, but also for care and
maintenance of the system downstream. |

As you peruse the
pictures you can see Reliable Security, and their
sub-contractor
Northern Lights Information Systems,
in action. To date, Northern Lights Information
Systems has pulled in almost 400,000 feet of wire in
this 300,000 sq. ft. casino. The wire racks were
specified and designed by Reliable and installed by
the owner’s electrical contractor. This casino was
pulled with an owner requested 20% spares, on the
gaming floor 20 ft. tails and in areas such as the
main cage and soft count rooms 10 ft. tails.
The Tulalip Tribe
has mandated that they wanted to have zero injuries
on this job and their general contractor, Mortenson,
mandated safety glasses, as well as the normal hard
hats, steel toed shoes and orange reflective covers.
As of this date there have been no injuries on the
job and Reliable Security whole heartedly endorses a
zero tolerance for injuries. |

Reliable Security’s sub-contractor on this job,
Northern Lights Information Systems, which is an
American Indian woman owned business, has pulled all
the cable. By the middle of January we will have our
second installment on the casino installation. We
will begin to work on the switch detail and will
show you how the switch is built and tested in our
shop, along with the access control system. |
